Converting components into a sub-assembly

You can create a sub-assembly from selected components. Selections can be:

• One or more components.
• One or more sub-assemblies.
• A mixture of components and sub-assemblies.

When converting a group of selected components into a sub-assembly, relationships are, wherever possible, preserved between:

• the selected components.
• selected master components and unselected slave components.

To avoid possible dependency loops, relations are removed when a slave component is selected and the master is not selected.

To convert components into a sub-assembly:

1. In the graphics window, select the components to be included in the sub-assembly.
2. Click Home tab > Utilities panel > Convert > Components to Sub-assembly.
