Customizing keyboard shortcuts

You can create your own keyboard shortcuts for options on the tabs.

  1. Click File > Options > Customize Keyboard Shortcuts.
  2. Use the Menu Shortcuts tab of the Customize dialog to specify your own shortcuts:

Menu — Select a command category from the drop-down list.

Menu Item — Select the command for which you want to create a shortcut.

Shortcut — The current shortcut for the selected command. If a shortcut does not exist, None is displayed in the box.

Replacement — The shortcut you want to use for the selected menu option.

Ctrl/Alt/Shift — Select an option to use the keys as part of the shortcut.

Key — A list of keys you can use for the shortcut. If none of the Ctrl/Alt/Shift keys are selected, you can choose only one of the F function keys. If you select the Ctrl, Alt, or Shift keys, you can choose any alphanumeric character or an F function key.

Create — Assigns the replacement shortcut to the selected command. The replacement shortcut appears in the Shortcut box and next to the menu option. If a shortcut already exists, you are asked if you want change its use.

Remove — Remove the current shortcut for the selected command. None appears in the Shortcut box.

Reset — Reset all the shortcuts back to the original shortcuts.

OK — Close the dialog.
