Assembly tree shortcuts

Use the following assembly tree shortcuts to quickly select and sort components, add components in free space, and modify relationships:

• Double-click the component icon. The cursor changes to and the component graphics are displayed on the edge of the model window nearest to the cursor:

  

• Double-click the relation icon to start modifying the relationship:

  

• Double-click the relation branch icon of a component to start creating a relationship with the master and slave components selected:

  

• Select multiple items in the assembly tree by using Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click. You can select multiple:
  • Assemblies
  • Components
  • Grouped Sub-assemblies
  • Power Features
• Right-click a component and click Select from the context menu. The selected components are highlighted in the model.
• Right-click a blank area of the tree and select Sort alphabetically to sort items in the assembly tree into alphabetical order.
