ReCap projects can be shared with one of three permission levels. These levels provide a specific sets of functionality to the intended collaborator.
- View – Allows collaborator to view the project from within the ReCap web application.
- View + Edit – Allows collaborator to view the project from within the ReCap web application and add annotations to the project.
- View + Edit + Control – Allows collaborator to view, annotate, and manage the data of the shared project. Including downloading and uploading updates to the project files.
Access level can be managed when adding new collaborators, or once invitations have been successfully sent. A drop-down UI allows you to specify the level of access you wish to provide in both states.

Permissions on the web application can be modified in a similar fashion, but from the sharing dialog.
