Recover Cloud Models with BIM 360 Team

Team administrators can use BIM 360 Team to restore BIM 360 projects and Revit models.

Recover BIM 360 projects and Revit models in Revit with the Manage Cloud Models tool or directly in BIM 360 Team.

To recover a model with the Manage Cloud Models tool

  1. In Revit, click Collaborate tab Manage Models panel (Manage Cloud Models).
  2. Select a cloud project.
  3. Click the Trash tab.

Any models that have been deleted from this project within the last 30 days display on the Trash tab.

  4. Locate the model you want to recover.

Click the column header to sort the list by model name, deleted by, or deleted time.

  5. Click (Recover).

A message notifies you that if you recover the model it will be moved to the Current Project tab and team members will then be able to sync their changes to it.

  6. Click Recover.

The model is restored to the current project. The model name is appended with "Recovered." If the recovered model has the same name as another model in the current project, then the name is appended with "Recovered (x)" where "x" is a number that starts at 1 and increments with each subsequent recovery.

To recover a project directly in BIM 360 Team

  1. Open BIM 360 Team and sign in.
  2. On the Projects page, select the filter Archived.
  3. Hover over the project row.
  4. Click Restore from the drop-down menu.

The project will now be available under all relevant filters.
