Run a Workflow

Use a suite workflow to send your design to 3ds Max Design.

Note: Suite workflows work between products of the same release year. For example, you can use workflows between Revit 2018 and 3ds Max Design 2018. You cannot use workflows with software from different product releases (such as Revit 2014 and 3ds Max Design 2018).

1. Open 3ds Max Design.
2. Open the building model in Revit, and open the desired 3D view.
3. To improve performance and results for a workflow for 3ds Max Design, prepare the model by following the best practices described in Before Exporting a 3D View to 3ds Max.
4. Click File tab (Suite Workflows), and click the workflow to run.
5. In the workflow dialog, click Run.
6. Respond to any prompts that appear.

After some processing, your design appears in the target application.
