Specify the Number of Backup Files

By default, Revit saves up to 3 backup files for each project. You can change the number of backup files that Revit saves for a project.

1. Click File tab (Save As).
2. In the Save As dialog, click Options.
3. In the File Save Options dialog, for Maximum backups, specify the number of backup files to save.
