Mullion Type Properties: Rectangular

For a rectangular mullion family, you can define the angle, offset, profile, position, and more.

To change type properties, select an element and click Modify tabProperties panel (Type Properties). Changes to type properties apply to all instances in the project.

Name	Description
Constraints
Angle	Rotates the mullion profile. Works as an adjustment to the Position parameter.
Offset	Sets the offset from the panels.
Construction
Profile	Sets a profile for the mullion. You can create a custom profile family.
Position	Rotates the mullion profile. Normal to Face is the usual condition. Parallel to Ground is appropriate for sloped curtain panels, such as in sloped glazing.
Corner Mullion	Indicates whether the mullion is a corner mullion.
Thickness	Sets the thickness. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Materials and Finishes
Material	The material for the mullion.
Dimensions
Width on side 2	Sets the width of side 2. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Width on side 1	Sets the width of side 1. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Identity Data
Keynote	Add or edit the mullion keynote. Click in the value box to open the Keynotes dialog. See Keynotes.
Model	Definition of the mullion.
Manufacturer	Definition of the mullion manufacturer.
Type Comments	Mullion comments.
URL	Sets applicable URL.
Description	Mullion description.
Assembly Description	Description of the assembly based on the assembly code selection.
Assembly Code	Uniformat assembly code selected from a hierarchical list.
Type Mark	Sets the mullion type mark.
Cost	The mullion cost.
OmniClass Number	The number from Table 23 of the OmniClass Construction Classification System that best categorizes the family type.
OmniClass Title	The name from Table 23 of the OmniClass Construction Classification System that best categorizes the family type.
