Place Free Form Rebar

Place free form reinforcement into concrete modeling elements with simple geometry.

You can place free form rebar in single surfaces from any view. This exampl shows free form rebar placement in a 3D view.

1. Click Structure tab Reinforcement panel (Rebar).
2. Click Modify | Place Rebar Placement Methods panel (Free Form Rebar).

   Note that Modify | Place Rebar Rebar Set Type panel (Surface Distribution) is selected.

3. Be sure that Modify | Place Rebar Multiple Selection panel (Select Multiple) is not selected.
4. Specify a rebar type in the Properties palette.
5. On the Rebar Set panel, specify a layout.
6. In the drawing area, select the surface of the element that will host the free form rebar.
   
7. Select a reference surface adjacent to the host surface from which the free form rebar set will begin.
   
8. Select a reference surface adjacent to the host surface to which the free form rebar set will end.
   
9. Rebar will populate the host surface as defined by the reference planes and predefined properties.
10. Press Esc or click Modify | Place Rebar Mode panel (Cancel) to exit the Free Form Rebar placement mode.
