Modify Member Permissions in an Access Control List (ACL)

Modify ACL member permissions for a file, folder, item, or custom object.

Note: Items and custom objects are available in Vault Professional.
Note: State-based security is available in Vault Workgroup and Vault Professional.
  1. Right-click a file, folder, item, or custom object in the vault and select Details.
  2. In the Details dialog, select the Security tab.

  3. The Access Control List displays the members with access to the selected file, folder, or custom object. Select a member for whom to configure the permissions.
  4. Click Add to add a new member.
  5. In the Add Members dialog box, select the users or groups to assign to the current file, folder, or custom object.
  6. Select the drop-down arrow in the Read, Modify, and Delete column for that user or group and select whether to Allow or Deny that type of permission. Select (Blank) if you want the user to have that permission provided the user is not explicitly denied rights based on state or folder security.
  7. Click OK.
