Compare two drawings using color and revision clouds to show the differences.
- Click DWG Compare on the toolbar.
- Drawing 1:
- If you aren't comparing the current drawing, browse to select the first drawing or select from the drop-down list of recently compared drawings.
- Click the color swatch to change the color for the objects that exist only in the first drawing.
- Drawing 2:
- Browse to select the second drawing or select from the drop-down list of recently compared drawings.
- Click the color swatch to change the color for the objects that exist only in the second drawing.
- Click Compare. A comparison drawing is opened with differences indicated by color and revision clouds.
Note: The default name for the comparison drawing is
Compare_First Drawing Name vs
Second Drawing Name.
- Use the arrows on the DWG Compare visor to navigate to each change set.
Revision clouds around each change set are placed on a new layer, 0-Markups, in the comparison drawing.
- Click
to change comparison options including color, revision clouds, hatch, and text.
- To change the color or visibility of either drawing, click the appropriate icon in front of DWG1 or DWG2.
- To control the display of overlapping objects in your drawing comparison result file, click Draw Order.
- To change the color or visibility of the revision clouds, click the appropriate icon in front of Cloud Display.
- To change the revision cloud shape, select from the Shape drop-down.
- To change the revision cloud size, drag the Margin slider bar.
- To change the visibility of Hatch or Text, click the icon in front of the object type.
