Part Properties Tab (Appurtenance Properties Dialog Box)

Use this tab to view or edit properties associated with this appurtenance.

General

Changing the reference surface and alignment in this dialog box changes the reference for the existing pressure network part. To change the reference surface and alignment only for new parts added to this pressure network, you can change the references on the Layout Settings tab of the Pressure Network Properties dialog box.

Reference Surface

Specifies the reference surface for the appurtenance. The surface provides elevation data to the pressure network objects.

Reference Alignment

Specifies the reference alignment for the appurtenance. The alignment provides station and offset data to the pressure network objects for labeling purposes.

Geometry

Insertion Point Easting

Specifies the easting of the appurtenance's insertion point.

Note: The insertion point corresponds to the location grip.
Insertion Point Northing

Specifies the northing of the appurtenance's insertion point.

Note: When the Insertion Point Northing or Insertion Point Easting are modified, the appurtenance remains connected to the pressure pipes, which stretch to accommodate the appurtenance’s new location.
Insertion Point Elevation

Specifies the elevation of the appurtenance's insertion point.

Insertion Point Station

Displays the station of the appurtenance's insertion point.

Note: The Station and Offset values are relative to the Reference Alignment.
Insertion Point Offset

Displays the offset of the appurtenance's insertion point.

Part Data

These properties are read-only and show a variety of part characteristics.

Note: If a property listed in the Part Data section has a Value field that is blank, it means that the part does not have a value defined for that property in the part catalog. You can use the Catalog Editor (Autodesk.Aec.Content.CatalogEditor.exe, located in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2019\C3D) to edit the metadata for the parts and assign values, and then you can recreate the parts in the drawing so they will have these property values and can be labeled with them. Edits that are made to the data in the Catalog Editor are not applied to existing parts in drawings.
