Install Inventor on a Single Computer

To automate the installation of the software on multiple networked computers, see Inventor Deployments.

For general information on installation, refer to the Workflow: Basic Product Installation topics. For specific Inventor configuration information, refer to the topics in this section

1. Prepare for installation:
   • Follow the guidelines in About Installation Prerequisites.
   • Apply relevant service packs to the operating system.
   • Disable anti-virus software.
2. Start the Inventor installation program.

   For instructions, see the topics under Workflow: Basic Product Installation.

3. Configure the Inventor stand-alone options:

   Access: On the Install > Configure Installation page, you see a triangular control for access to a configuration panel: Click anywhere in the product box to open a configuration panel.

   • Autodesk Inventor

     Sub-components: installs Revit interoperability functionality.

   • Autodesk Inventor Content Center Libraries

     Installs Autodesk Inventor Content Center Libraries directly on your local computer as Desktop content.

   • Autodesk ReCap

     Installs Autodesk ReCap

   • Autodesk Inventor Electrical Catalog Browser

     Installs a sample of the AutoCAD Electrical database.
