You can use nConstraints with nHair to style, position, and hold hair curves. When creating constraints, be aware of the following behaviors:
- nConstraints are assigned to input curves and not to output curves. However, you must select output curve CVs or vertices to create the nConstraint on the hair system. The edges of hair curves cannot be constrained.
- You can use Transform constraints to pull or push a selection of curves into place for your hair style. For example, after creating the constraint, play the simulation with Interactive Playback mode ( nSolver > Interactive Playback ), select the dynamicConstraint node, and use the Move tool to position the constrained curves.
- You can use Component to Component constraints to make object to component or object to object connections. For example, you can use a Component to Component constraint to attach hair curves to other Nucleus objects. It can also be used to constrain a number of hair curves together as in a bunched hair style.
- If the nHair system you are constraining is on an animated character, parent the dynamicConstraint node under the skeleton model so that the constraint position is relative to the character's position.
