The Properties tab of the Coolant dialog is used to specify the physical properties of the coolant and to view or edit the coefficients for the coolant viscosity model.
| Dialog element | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Coolant density | Specifies the density of the coolant at room temperature.
The values (0:3) indicate the range of acceptable values you can enter. |
| Coolant specific heat | Specifies the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of a unit mass of coolant by 1°C.
The numbers (0:10000) indicate the range of acceptable values you can enter. |
| Coolant thermal conductivity | Specifies the rate of heat transfer by conduction per unit length per degrees Celsius, and so it has the units of W/m°C.
It is essentially a measure of the rate at which a coolant can dissipate heat. The numbers (0:10) indicate the range of acceptable values you can enter. |
| Coolant viscosity | Specifies the data-fitted values for the coefficients in the coolant viscosity model.
The numbers (1e-007:0.1), (0:2.0027e+005), (0:5273.1) indicate the range of acceptable values you can enter for c1, c2, and c3 respectively. |
