Multiple barrel thermoplastics injection molding analysis is used to simulate the injection of a single material, so the part fills more quickly and packs more evenly.
This molding process is supported by the following mesh types:
Midplane
Dual Domain
3D
The sub barrels can each be set with different barrels properties:
- Different melt temperatures
- Separate delay times
- Different filling, packing and cooling controls
Note:
- You cannot use valve gates with multiple barrel thermoplastics injection molding.
- Only conventional thermoplastics injection molding is supported. Other thermoplastics injection molding techniques, such as Gas-assisted injection molding, Compression molding, Co-injection molding, Microcellular, etc. are not supported.
