All solver parameters have a default value that is suitable for most analyses.
| Dialog element | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Molding material |
Select and edit the material to analyze. Click Select to select a material from the database. Click Edit to make changes to the selected material. |
| Process controller |
Allows you to select and edit a process controller to control the injection molding process during the analysis. Click Edit to control the filling phase, velocity/pressure switch-over point, pack/holding phase, mold temperature and mold-open time. |
| Compression press controller |
Allows you to select and/or edit a predefined compression press controller to be used for the Injection-compression analysis. Click
Select to select a compression press controller from the database. Click
Edit to make changes to the selected compression press controller.
Note: The properties stored with the compression press controller are the same as those specified on the Compression Settings page of the Process Settings Wizard.
|
| Injection molding machine |
Select and edit an injection molding machine to simulate your molding machine during the analysis. Click Edit to configure the injection unit, hydraulic unit, and clamping unit. |
| Mold material |
Allows you to select and edit the mold material to be used during the analysis. Click Edit to specify the density, specific heat, and thermal conductivity of the mold material. |
| Solver parameters |
Allows you to select and edit the solver parameters to be used during the analysis. Click Edit to make any changes to the selected solver parameter. For example, you can configure intermediate results, mold/melt convergence criteria, and analysis restart settings. |
