Overflow Well (3D) dialog-Mold Properties tab

The Mold Properties tab of this dialog is used to specify the properties of the mold block in contact with the selected tetrahedral elements of type Overflow well (3D).

Prerequisites: Mesh type: 3D; Molding Process: Gas-assisted Injection Molding; Analysis sequence: Dependent on mesh type

Dialog location: Right-click an element with the property Overflow well (3D) select Properties and the Mold Properties tab.

All solver parameters have a default value that is suitable for most analyses.

Dialog element	Explanation
Cavity/core side assignment	This option relates to the temperature boundary condition for a Fill+Pack analysis.
Mold material	Specifies the mold material in contact with the selected model feature. The available options are: Use global setting in advanced options Select this option if you do not want to specify a local mold material in contact with this model feature. Select a different mold material Select this option if you want to specify a local mold material, different to the mold material specified in the advanced options, in contact with the top side of this model feature.
