To run a Runner Balance analysis

Run a Runner Balance analysis to alter runner dimensions, within constraints, to ensure part quality and identical cavity sizes. A well-balanced runner system can result in considerable savings in material usage.

  1. Open a model.
  2. Click Analysis Sequence (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Analysis Sequence).
  3. Select Runner Balance from the Select analysis sequence list, and then click OK. If Runner Balance does not appear as an option, click More to see more options.

    Once the analysis finishes the results appear in the Analysis Log.

  4. Click Start Analysis (Home tab > Analysis panel > Start Analysis).
