To specify the press open distance (compression molding only)

You can set the press open distance as an input for a compression molding analysis.

  1. Click Process Settings (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).
  2. Click Next one or more times to advance to the Compression Settings page.
  3. Specify the Pure compression press open distance option you want to use in the analysis.
    • Automatic. This is the default setting. The press open distance is determined automatically.
    • Specified. Type a value in the Press open distance text box.
  4. When you have completed all of the compressions settings, click Finish.
