Wire dialog

The Wire dialog is used to specify the properties of the selected beam elements or curves of type Wire.

Prerequisites

Mesh type:

Molding Process: Thermoplastics Microcellular Injection Molding

Analysis sequence: Includes wire sweep

Dialog location

Right-click the beam element or curve with an assigned property of Wire. Select Properties.

Dialog element	Explanation
Diameter	Assign the diameter of the selected wire entities
Wire material option	Specify the material properties of the selected wire entities: Use wire properties in process settings This option is selected by default. The wire material properties specified in the process settings will be used in the analysis. Specified Select this option if you want to change the wire material properties associated with the selected wire entities. Click Select to open the Select wire material properties dialog.

Wire material option

Specify the material properties of the selected wire entities:

Use wire properties in process settings: This option is selected by default. The wire material properties specified in the process settings will be used in the analysis.
Specified: Select this option if you want to change the wire material properties associated with the selected wire entities. Click Select to open the Select wire material properties dialog.

The collection of property values defined on the dialog are saved to a property set with the description shown in the Name box.
