This dialog is used to input the stress/strain characteristics of the material in the second principal direction. This data, if present, is used for a Stress Creep analysis.
To access this dialog, you must have selected a reactive molding process, with a thermoset material. Click
( ), and click
Next until you find a page with the
Advanced options button. Click
Advanced options, then click
Edit associated with
Molding material. Select the
Mechanical Properties tab, check
Single set of stress-strain curves, and click the
Edit stress-strain data button. Check
Different second principal properties (tranversely isotropic), and click the
Edit stress-strain data button.
Dialog element | Explanation |
---|---|
Second principal (or isotropic) tensile stress-strain curve |
|
Tensile stress-strain curve data (2nd principal direction) | Enter data for the 2nd principal direction. You will have acquired this information from experimental data. |
Different compression properties | Check this box if you have compression data in the first and second principal directions. |
Edit stress-strain data This button only appears if you have selected Different compression properties |
Click this button to enter the second principal tensile stress-strain curve data. |
