Runner System Wizard-Gates

The Gates - Page 3 of 3 page is used to specify geometry information for the gates of the feed system.

To access this page click (Geometry tab > Create panel > Runner system) and click Next twice.

Dialog element	Explanation
Side gates	Define the side gates. Note: This option is only available if there is one or more injection location on the side wall of the part. Orifice diameter The diameter of the gate as it enters the part Included angle The side gate taper expressed as an included angle Select the final gate parameter based on one of the following: Length Create the gate based on the length of the gate. Angle Create the gate based on the angle of the gate from horizontal.
Top gates	Define the top gates. Note: This option is only available if there is one or more injection location on the top of the part. Start diameter The diameter of the gate where it connects to the runner (feed) system. End diameter The diameter of the gate where it connects to the mold cavity. Length The length of the top gates to be created
