The Bubbler Surface Properties tab of the Bubbler dialog is used to specify the geometrical and thermal properties of the bubbler.
To access this dialog, select a bubbler and click

Annular shape:
|
Bubblers have an annular shape. Coolant flows up through the inner cylinder and then down the outer annulus where the cooling occurs. The dimensions of this configuration are specified in this section of the dialog. Tip: Minimize pressure drop across a bubbler by incorporating an inner diameter to outer diameter ratio of around 0.7
|
Heat transfer effectiveness | Specifies the heat transfer effectiveness (HTE) of the bubbler. The default value for a bubbler is 1, the maximum heat transfer. |
Channel roughness | The thickness of the roughness in the bubbler relative to the diameter of that bubbler specifies the channel roughness. Channel roughness, along with Reynolds number is used to calculate a friction factor used to calculate the pressure drop in the circuit. Channel roughness is also used in the boundary condition for the thermal equation of the Cool analysis. |
Name | A user defined designation that can be used to quickly duplicate feature parameters. |
Apply to all entities that share this property | By default, all entities with the designation specified in the Name option will have the same properties. |
