Dialog element | Explanation |
---|---|
Entities | Displays the entities you have selected. If you know the entity ID, enter it here. Alternatively, you can select some on the model and the IDs will be entered here. |
Display or text | Shows the diagnostics results as a graphical representation or a text report (not available for all diagnostics). |
Display mesh/model | Displays only the diagnostic results, or both the model and the diagnostic results. |
Place results in diagnostics layer | Stores the results of the mesh/surface diagnostic in a layer, separate from other layers, if you select this option. A diagnostic layer is created, if none existed previously. |
Restrict to visible entities |
When this option is unchecked, all instances of the relevant entity are checked when you display the diagnostic plot. Every time you make a change to the model, the displayed diagnostic plot is updated. For large models this can lead to considerable delays, particularly when editing the mesh to resolve element overlaps or intersections. When this option is selected, only visible elements are checked. This can decrease the time it takes to update the plot and improve your work efficiency. |
