To model a valve gate from a beam element

The beam element in contact with the part can be converted into a valve gate.

A hot runner system can incorporate a valve gate by changing the properties of the beam element in contact with the part.

1. Select the hot runner element in contact with the part.
2. Click (Geometry tab > Properties panel > Change).
3. Select Hot Gate from the list that appears.
4. Click OK.
5. Click (Geometry tab > Properties panel > Edit).
6. Select the Valve Gate Control tab.
7. Select the required valve gate controller from the drop down list or select Valve gate controller defaults and edit the parameters as required.
   Tip: Rename the element Valve gate controller so that it can be easily identified.
