The interface conductance value quantifies the ability of heat to pass between the insert, or parting plane, and the surrounding mold material. Interface conductance is an optional input for a Cool analysis that can be assigned to a mold insert or parting plane.
- Click on the mold insert or parting surface to which you want to assign an interface conductance.
- Right-click on the highlighted insert or parting surface and select
Properties.
If the insert or parting surface property has not yet been assigned to the model feature, click
() and create it.
- In the Interface Conductance box, enter the required value. You can also set the insert material in this dialog.
- Click OK to close the dialog and save your changes.
