To combine mesh aggregation with isolating cause of warpage

Combine these two options to calculate the warpage effects due to differential shrinkage, differential cooling, and fiber orientations much faster than without mesh aggregation.

Mesh aggregation for isolating cause of warpage is particularly useful for large models, when you want to isolate the warpage effects due to differential shrinkage, differential cooling, and fiber orientations. This feature is supported for Small deflection warp analyses, with the 3D mesh types:

  1. Click Analysis Wizard, Home tab (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Analysis Sequence) and choose a sequence including Warp.
  2. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings). Then click Next until the Warp Settings page appears.
  3. Set the Warpage analysis type to Small deflection, select Use mesh aggregation and Isolating cause of warpage.

After the warp calculation completes, results are mapped back to the original mesh and appear as:
