To re-mesh beams

There are several reasons to re-mesh beam geometry. For example:
  • Re-mesh if you are not satisfied with the density of the mesh in the whole runner system, cooling channel(s), gas channel(s), or structural beam(s)
  • If you have modified portions of the beam geometry.
  • You want to re-mesh the beam around a critical feature.
  1. Using the Layers pane, display only the beam elements and curves of the entities to be re-meshed. Make sure the part geometry and mesh are not visible.
  2. Click Generate mesh (Mesh tab > Mesh panel > Generate Mesh), and select the option to Remesh already meshed parts of the model.
  3. On the Curves tab, adjust the relevant parameter as required.
  4. Click Mesh Now. The beam geometry will be re-meshed using the new curve parameter that you specified.
