Channel dialog - Mold Properties tab

Applies to 2018.3 Update and later

The Mold Properties tab of the Channel dialog is used to specify the properties of the mold block material in contact with the channels.

To access this dialog, select a Channel element, then either select Edit (Geometry tab > Properties panel > Edit), or right-click and select Properties from the drop-down menu.

Note: This tab is not visible when the molding process is set to Coolant Flow.
Dialog element Explanation
Mold material
The options are:
Use global setting in advanced options
Select this option if the standard mold material is in contact with the cooling channels.
Select a different mold material
Select this option to specify a local mold material in contact with cooling channels that is different from the mold material specified in the advanced options.
