To import a model

Unless the model has a *.sdy file format, you can only import a single cavity. Separate multiple cavity models before importing.

1. Click (Home tab > Import panel > Import).
2. Select the Files of type drop-down list. The list of file types directly supported is shown. Select All Models to show the list of all model file formats in your directory.
3. Navigate to the folder in which your model is saved, select it and click Open.
4. Select the mesh type to be used from the drop-down list.
5. If you selected a native CAD geometry, do one of the following:
   1. Click Direct Import using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to import the model in its native format, or
   2. Check Process using Autodesk Moldflow Design Link to translate the model.
   Note: If you selected this last option, click Advanced, select the required alternate meshing parameters that Autodesk® Moldflow® Design Link offers and click OK.
   The model is read in, and a new study is automatically created in the your project.
