During an analysis, data are generated in various forms, from plots that you can animate, to text in the form of the results summary. This section describes the different formats.
Topics in this section
Results Summary
A result summary showing the analysis inputs and the results of each phase of the analysis or analysis sequence is generated for each analysis that is performed.
Study log
A study log is generated every time an analysis is performed, consisting of several logs describing different aspects of the analysis. The study log reports on any inputs used, any warnings or errors encountered, and provides a summary of results generated at the end of the filling and packing phases.
Analysis check
The Analysis Check text result is generated for each analysis, and displays a complete list of any warnings or errors that occurred during each analysis in the sequence. A file is written for each analysis in the sequence.
Results files Moldflow Results files contain a selection of results and analysis logs from one or more studies, and may also contain a Moldflow Criteria file.
Criteria files
A Moldflow Criteria file (*.criteria) contains a set of criteria that describe optimum values or ranges for input values and results.
Valid comparisons
Comparing several different studies of the same part, each with slightly different settings, will help you optimize the design and manufacturing process.
File extensions
Interface and result files can be identified by their file extension. The following table lists the purpose of each type of file. Files designated "temporary" can be safely deleted after the completion of an analysis.
Customize results
You can customize the results list to include only the results that are required for the current task, to minimize the list of results and to save post processing time. A set of default results are created at the end of an analysis or analysis sequence.
