Instead of assigning a specific alignment to items when you add them to the inspection sequence, you can use the <Active Alignment> option in the Coordinate System list to specify the alignments during the inspection. Only one alignment at a time can be active, so, when you select a new entry in the Active Alignment list, PowerInspect automatically recalculates the measurements of all items that have a Coordinate System setting of<Active Alignment> relative to the new alignment.
You can select a different active alignment for each Measure in an inspection document.
To choose an active alignment for an item in the inspection sequence:
to indicate it is the active alignment.
to indicate it is the active alignment.
The Status bar displays the name of the current alignment and the positions of all items with a Coordinate System setting of <Active Alignment> are calculated relative this.
. If the reference alignment is also uncalculated,
PowerInspect uses the last calculated alignment in the inspection sequence.
