About Steel Element Asynchronous Update

Learn how the asynchronous update works when calculating the steel fabrication element geometry and steel fabrication shape.

The steel fabrication element creation, modification and editing processes use the asynchronous update mechanism. This means that every time you launch a command, a task is generated, added to a queue and executed later. As long as a task is in progress, the representation of the element will be provisional until the task is finished.

The list of queued tasks is not visible.

The asynchronous update of steel elements does not use a background process framework.

When creating, modifying or deleting steel fabrication elements, the geometry and fabrication shape are calculated as follows:

Offset for fabrication beams
Steel Elements, Connections and Parametric Cuts Edit in the custom connection editor
Pin and Unpin fabrication beams and connections
Standard Connections, Custom Connections and Parametric Cuts Edit MPP parameters
Custom Connections Edit and exit the editor using Cancel
Asynchronous Steel Elements Edit MPP parameters
Change type for fabrication beams
Stretch and Flip fabrication beams
Move Nudge and Rotate
