About Electrical Loads Parameters

You can use the Electrical Loads dialog to specify the loads imposed by lighting and power for a space. These loads affect the heating and cooling loads analysis according to the lighting and power schedules for the specified building/space types.

You can access this dialog by clicking Edit for Electrical Loads on a space’s Properties palette, or by clicking the Space Electrical Data button from the Details Tab in the Heating and Cooling Loads dialog for the selected space.

The Electrical Loads dialog contains the following options:

• Lighting
  • Values - By Space Type: Uses the default values for the space.
  • Values - Specified: Lets you specify a value for electrical loads.

    This value can be expressed as Watts or Watts per area.

  • Values - Actual: The value returned from a loads analysis.

    This value can be expressed as Watt or Watt per area. This value is imported as the LightingPowerPerArea component when importing a gbXML file.

• Power
  • Values - By Space Type: Uses the default values for the space.
  • Values - Specified: Lets you specify a value for power loads.

    This value can be expressed as Watt or Watt per area.

  • Values - Actual: The value returned from a load analysis.

    This value can be expressed as Watt or Watt per area. This value is imported as the EquipPowerPerArea component when importing a gbXML file.
