Troubleshooting: Precast CAM Export

Review these cases if you encounter issues using the Precast CAM Export for manually created assemblies.

  1. The following elements or cases are not exported:
    • Rebar containers.
    • Welding of reinforcement.
    • Lattice girders (except the ones created by the Autodesk Structural Precast Extension for Revit for girder slabs).
    • Rebar couplers as standalone elements.
  2. Prestressing elements are not supported.
  3. Geometrical export:
    • Export only prismatic cutouts.
    • Export only geometry prismatic in the Z direction.
    • Elements such as reveals or profiles are not supported.
  4. Solid wall assemblies containing loadable families that can host rebar:
    • Must be prismatic in the Z direction of the assembly (no reveals, profiles, etc.).
    • Additional sweeps or extrusions on the wall are not supported.
    • Chamfers, vertical profiles at edges or corners are supported as line attributes.
    • Stacked walls are not supported.
    • The local coordinate system is based on the assembly origin.
  5. Solid slab assemblies containing loadable families that can host rebar:
    • Must be prismatic in the Z direction of the assembly.
    • Additional sweeps or extrusions on the slab are not supported.
    • Chamfers and keyways are supported as line attributes.
    • Sloping slabs are not supported.
  6. Mounting parts:
    • Must be in assemblies.
    • Only the bounding box of the mounting part and its position are defined.
    • Adaptive components or multi-pick families are not supported.
    • The following categories to define mounting parts are supported: generic models, specialty equipment, electrical equipment, electrical fixtures, lighting devices, lighting fixtures, and structural connections.
  7. Changing the assembly axis in not taken into account for wall assemblies.
