Importing Images

You can import raster images to a project to use as background images or as visual aids needed during the creation of a model. You can also place imported images on sheets.

Import Images
You can import images using the Image tool or by dragging and dropping them from Windows® Explorer. You can import images into 2D views only.

Import images to include directly on sheets for presentation or import images into model views to combine with model geometry.
Modify Images
You can modify images using tools (such as Rotate and Copy) on the Modify Raster Images tab. This tab displays when you select an image in the drawing area.
Manage Images Dialog
The Manage Images dialog lists all raster images in the model, including any rendered images that you have saved to the model. You can also use this dialog to add images to the model that you wish to associate with elements for scheduling purposes.
