Progress Notifications are e-mails sent by
Autodesk® CFD when your analysis has completed a specific milestone. Enable them by clicking
Setup >
Simulation >
Notifications to open the Notifications dialog.
To Enable Notifications
- Define your email server settings:
- Enter the name of your
SMTP Server. You can enter either the Server or the Server:Port. Some common 3rd party servers are
smtp.gmail.com:587 (note that the gmail account has to be configured to allow "Less Secure Apps") and
smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465. Please check your email "Account Settings" or contact your system administrator or Internet service provider for additional information.
- Enter your
Username as either your Login ID or Domain\Login. For public email servers such as Gmail and Yahoo, this is often your email address.
- Enter your email
Password for the username that you entered in the
Username line.
- In the
From line, enter your email address. This must match the email address for the login in the
Username line. This is the address that appears in the
From field e on emails sent through this service.
- Enter the target e-mail address for notifications.
- To enter multiple addresses, separate each with a comma.
- To receive notifications as text messages, enter the SMS address according to your mobile vendor's specifications.
- Select the events that trigger a notification. If you select
Send Convergence Plot, indicate how many iterations should elapse between plot images in the
Iteration Interval box.
- Click
Test message to confirm.
After saving, notifications are sent for all subsequent analyses launched from your computer, under your Windows login.
The analysis conclusion notification contains the status file. If an error occurs, this file includes the error message.
Note: If Notification e-mails are not delivered to your Inbox, check your "Junk" or similar folder.
