To Share a View in Vault

Learn how to share a read-only copy of a design or model in the Autodesk Viewer.

Important: Shared Views is available for Vault Workgroup and Vault Professional subscribers.

Subscribe to Vault to upload a shared view.

To Share a View

1. Select the file you want to share a view of.
2. Rick-click and click Share View.
3. In the dialog box, specify options. Options give you additional control over information that you share with your collaborators.
   Note: The available options depend on the file type selected.
4. Select Share to create a link to a visual representation of the file in Autodesk Viewer.

   A pop-up window provides the link to the shared view in Autodesk Viewer. This makes it easy for you to send the link to your collaborators.

Supported File Types

You can share views for these file types created by the following applications:

• Inventor - .ipt, .iam, .idw, .dwg
• AutoCAD - .dwg
• AutoCAD Electrical - .dwg
• AutoCAD Mechanical - .dwg
• AutoCAD Civil 3D - .dwg

Note: For 3D .dwg files, the shared view available on the Autodesk Viewer is a 2D view.
