Manage Content Libraries Dialog Box

Allows you to create and manage the blocks in a library.

CONTENT (Command)

Tool Set: Drafting tab > Block panel > Blocks Palette : Block Libraries > Manage Libraries

Menu: Window > Blocks: Block Libraries > Manage Libraries

The libraries listed in this dialog box are pre-installed. You can view the full set of libraries after you install or reset AutoCAD.

List of Options

The following options are displayed.

Libraries List

Lists the available libraries. Select a library to manage the blocks contained in the library in the Blocks list. Double-click the name of a library to rename it.

Create Library (+)

Creates a new library and prompts you to enter a name in an in-place editor.

Delete Library (-)

Removes the selected library from the Libraries list.

Blocks List

Lists the blocks contained in the selected library.

Add Block (+)

Displays the Open File Dialog (a standard navigation dialog box) in which you select a drawing (DWG) or drawing template (DWT) file to add to the selected library.

Note: Hold down the Command key to select more than one file.

Delete Block (-)

Removes the selected block from the library.

Filter Blocks List

Filters the blocks displayed in the Blocks list. Click the ‘X’ in the text box to clear the current filter.

Enter a text string to control which blocks are displayed in the Blocks list. Only the names of the blocks that contain the text string are displayed in the Blocks list.
