AutoCAD Updates

These release notes contain important information regarding the installation and contents of the Update.

Important - The AutoCAD 2020.1.6 Update contains the previously released updates for AutoCAD 2020.

Installation - If you have installed AutoCAD 2020.1.1 Update, you will need to uninstall the Update 1.1 before applying Update 1.6. To uninstall an update go to the Windows Control Panel and click Uninstall a program. On the left pane, click View installed updates and click the update to uninstall.

Applying Updates

AutoCAD Updates can be applied to AutoCAD including specialized toolsets installed as standalone apps as well as Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Advance Steel. You can install the AutoCAD update in addition to any applicable updates for the products and their included services listed below.

AutoCAD Electrical 2020 specialized toolset
AutoCAD Map 3D 2020 specialized toolset
AutoCAD Mechanical 2020 specialized toolset
AutoCAD MEP 2020 specialized toolset
AutoCAD Plant 3D 2020 specialized toolset
Autodesk Advance Steel 2020
Autodesk Civil 3D 2020

After applying this latest patch, the Product Version in the About box will be listed as Q.172.0.0 AutoCAD 2020.1.6. For specialized toolsets, Autodesk Civil 3D or Autodesk Advance Steel, the Built On version will be listed as Q.172.0.0 AutoCAD 2020.1.6.

Note: Installing this Update only to AutoCAD Electrical 2020 may cause the Publish to PDF feature to fail. To prevent this issue, make sure to install both AutoCAD 2020.1.6 and AutoCAD Electrical 2020.0.2 updates.

Available Updates

Uninstall This Update

Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10

Click Start and then Control Panel.
Click Programs.
Click Programs and Features.
In the left pane in the Programs and Features window, click View Installed Updates.
Find the appropriate update in the list of updates. Click Uninstall.
