Unlike setups, folders do not affect the operations that they contain, but are useful for grouping operations. For example, a common scenario is to create separate folders for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations.
A 3D part with folders for each group of operations. An open folder displays the operations within it.
You can create a new folder in two ways:
When using setups or folders, new operations are, by default, added to the newest folder or setup. If you want to add operations to a different folder or setup, you can make that folder the default folder by right-clicking on it and choosing Default Folder. The default folder is denoted by a check mark to the left of the folder icon.
If you just want to add an operation to a specific folder quickly, you can do so without making it the default folder first. Simply create the operation by right-clicking on a specific folder and choose New Operation. This will add the new operation(s) to the focused folder rather than the default folder.
