Calculating the machining time for an operation is an important aspect in the manufacturing process. Inventor CAM measures and calculates the machining time for a selected operation with high accuracy. From the CAM Browser, right-click the toolpath component of an operation and select Machining Time from the pop-up context menu.
Show the Machining Time for a selected toolpath
The Machining Time dialog box shows information about the total machining time, determined as the sum of feed time, rapid time, and tool change time. This values are calculated using the feed and speed data of the current tool, the length of the calculated toolpath, and the rapid feed and tool change time that can be entered through the dialog.
