SQL Server Configuration for AutoCAD Electrical Catalog Content

In the deployment mode, you can connect to your SQL Server instance. Your database or system administrator would have already created the instance on the SQL Server.

Configure an SQL Server, when installing AutoCAD Electrical, for your content catalog data.

1. Select the Add Microsoft® SQL™ Server Configuration Details to enable configuration fields.
2. Enter the SQL Server instance name.
3. Under administrator authentication, either:
   1. Use Windows authentication.
   2. Use SQL Server authentication.
      Note: If you select SQL Server authentication, use AECATALOGCONFIG, from within the product, to configure to an SQL Server, and then validate your connection.
4. Under Database Details:
   1. Enter the name of the catalog database.
   2. Enter the name of the footprint database.
   Note: Administrator must ensure that the catalog and footprint database names are valid.
