The laser vector (.lsr) file, which is imported into the DED workspace, describes the power, speed, size, and location of the heat source used to build the component being modeled.
The format of an LSR file is as follows:
Power [ W] X0 [mm] Y0 [mm] Z0 [mm] X1 [mm] Y1 [mm] Z1 [mm] Heat source radius [mm] Deposition speed [mm/s] Start time of laser vector [s]
Below is an example LSR file for a short, 2 bead wide wall:
