To construct a bisector line

Create a line that bisects the angle between two reference lines projected on a plane.

Which angle you bisect and the vector of the bisecting line depend on the vectors of the reference lines.

  1. Open a Geometric group in the Sequence Tree.
  2. Choose Geometry > Lines > Constructed > Bisector Line.
  3. Select Reference Plane, and then select the plane on which the lines project.
  4. For Reference Line 1 and Reference Line 2, select the lines you want to bisect. To bisect the supplementary angle, select Reverse Feature for one line. To reverse the vector of the bisecting line, select Reverse Feature for both reference lines.
  5. For Direction Vector, select the coordinate type and enter the nominal and tolerances for the orientation of the line.
  6. For Half Angle, enter the nominal and tolerances for the bisection angle.
  7. Select which angle to report. Click:
    • to report the reflex angle between the reference items.
    • to report the inner angle between the reference items.
  8. For Intersection, select the type of coordinates and then enter the nominal and tolerances for the point where the reference lines intersect.
