To Share a Plant Project to the Cloud

Note: Plant projects should not include special characters such as ( ‘, ?!).
  1. Open the Plant project you want to share to BIM 360 Team.
    Note: The existing project you share will be copied to the cloud, your local project remains untouched.
  2. In the ribbon, click the Collaboration tab Share Project .
  3. Click Get Started!
    Note: You are prompted to login to BIM 360 Team with your Autodesk ID and Password if you are not already logged in.
  4. A drop-down lists all of the BIM 360 Team projects you belong to. Choose the BIM 360 Team Project you want to work on.
    Note: If you don't belong to a project or hub, a dialog box is displayed with information about creating a BIM 360 Team hub or a BIM 360 Team Project.
  5. Click Next. This starts the project uploading. The time it takes varies depending on how large your project is.
  6. Once the upload is finished, the completion screen is displayed.

    Your project is now uploaded to the cloud.

  7. If you did not invite Team Members earlier or want to add more, just click the “Invite My Team” button.

    If you want to start working in your cloud project, click “Get Started”. The local project you had open is now closed, and the current project in the app is your new Cloud hosted project where you can create new drawings and edit existing ones.

    Note: The icon next to the uploaded project has changed to indicate that it's a Collaboration project.
