Use the BIM 360 connected drive in Windows Explorer when you want to open the latest published version of a Revit cloud workshared model.
To access the latest published version of a Revit cloud workshared model from the BIM 360 connected drives in Windows Explorer, Install Desktop Connector and sign in with your Autodesk ID.
The latest published version of the model is independent of the live Revit cloud workshared model. When you publish a cloud model (workshared or non-workshared) to BIM 360, a new version of the published model is created and synced to the BIM 360 connected drive.
When you open the latest published version of a model from the BIM 360 connected drive, you cannot save the changes back to the live cloud workshared model. You can open the published version of the model and save it as local detached copy.
When you upload a local Revit model to BIM 360 via a web browser or though the BIM 360 connected drive, the model is stored in BIM 360 Document as an .RVT file. You can open and modify it in Revit and save it back to the cloud. In this scenario, the central model is not supported.
