To Manually Load and Run Autodesk Vehicle Tracking for MicroStation

  1. Run MicroStation as you normally would.
  2. If you are running Bentley MX the Utilities menu may not be visible. Select File menu CAD Menu.
  3. Select Utilities menu MDL Applications.
  4. Look for Vehicle Tracking in the list of Available Applications.
  5. If the application is listed then highlight it and click Load. Close the MDL Applications dialog.
  6. If the application is not listed, then click Browse and look in the Autodesk Vehicle Tracking installation directory (normally C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Vehicle Tracking 2021) for the file VEHICLETRACKING.MA. Highlight the file and click OK followed by Load.

    Vehicle Tracking should now be visible on the top menu and the toolbar should also be visible.

  7. Click any Vehicle Tracking button to load Vehicle Tracking.
Note: By default only the main Vehicle Tracking tool frame is enabled with the other functions available as flyouts. If you prefer to work with the flyouts permanently displayed, then go to Tools Toolboxes and select the Vehicle Tracking toolbars that you require.
Note: If Autodesk Vehicle Tracking starts but fails to load, you will need to set MicroStation 's library path to point to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\common Files\Autodesk Shared\CLM\V5\MSVC14

The variable needs short format filenames:

MS_LIBRARY_PATH=C:\PROGRA ~ 2\COMMON ~ 1\AUTODE ~ 1\CLM\V5\MSVC14\

The value can also be set as a command to ustation.exe parameter using the -ws option:

-wsMS_LIBRARY_PATH = C:\PROGRA ~ 2\COMMON ~ 1\AUTODE ~ 1\CLM\V5\MSVC14\
