To Create a Style Library

You can create a style library using one of several methods. In general, new style libraries are created by CAD administrators so that uniform styles are assured throughout all design documents.

Access:

Click Start menu Programs Autodesk Autodesk Inventor LT Tools Style Library Manager. In the Style Library Manager, click Create New Style Library.

  1. In the Create New Style Library dialog box: Click the Create New Style Library command above the Style Library 2 pane.
  2. Creation Method: Select how you want to create the library. Click the arrow to choose Copy Existing Style Library, and then modify as appropriate or Create Empty Style Library, and then select styles from one or more libraries.
  3. New Style Library Location: Accept the default location or browse to the folder where you want to store the new library. If the library is accessed by a document, place it in a folder recognized by design file locations.
  4. Source Style Library to Copy: If you are copying a style library, accept the default library or browse to the library you want to copy. This option is unavailable if you create an empty library.
  5. Click OK to create the library and close the dialog box.

Exit the Style Library Manager. Use the Style and Standard Editor to customize the styles in the new style library.
